For two nights only, Harwich’s historic Beacon Hill Fort transforms into a hair-raising scare experience. Step inside dark tunnels, haunted woodlands, and decayed buildings as your worst fears are unleashed.
Deep within the fort, a deranged doctor has re-opened his long-condemned medical research facility. His twisted experiments on nightmares have gone horribly wrong… and now he needs YOU as his next willing volunteer.

Beacon Hill After Dark is a scare attraction that brings the historic and atmospheric Beacon Hill Fort to life.
Visitors will have the unique opportunity to explore the site while encountering live actors and themed environments designed to enhance the fort’s eerie and haunting character.

Please note:
This event is not suitable for those with mobility issues. Guests must be able to navigate steps, uneven terrain and confined spaces.
Not suitable for individuals with conditions that may be triggered by jump scares, strobe lighting, latex, smoke, or loud noises (e.g., heart conditions, asthma, photosensitive epilepsy, or severe anxiety).
Participants must be 14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+).
Please wear sensible footwear and appropriate outdoor clothing. The experience involves pathways that may become muddy and special effects that could transfer to clothing.
Running, touching actors, or leaving designated pathways is strictly prohibited. Guests under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused entry.
This is an experience designed to scare. Guests attend at their own risk.

Beacon Hill Fort was built in 1890 to defend Harwich from various attacks and served through both World Wars before closing in 1956. You can read more about the site here.
